WHO ARE WE?
Kaamos Ensemble was founded in 2024. The idea emerged from contemplating the role of music and culture in Lapland tourism. How could the stunning northern lights, the snow-covered landscapes, and the magical Lapland experience be made even more memorable?
The artists of Kaamos Ensemble are some of Finland’s top professionals in classical music. Our ensemble members primarily work with the northernmost orchestra in the EU, the Lapland Chamber Orchestra.
The founding member of the group, double bassist Heidi Rahkonen, serves as the artistic director and is also responsible for the ensemble's production.
Our Services
We offer a wide range of classical music repertoire, spanning from the Viennese classics of Mozart to Gershwin’s jazz standards. The composition of our ensemble is flexible, ranging from solo performances to a 10-member mini-orchestra, depending on the event.
